Waxing | Mobile Beauty Treatments

Waxing is a type of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from its roots. This means that new hair will not grow in a previously waxed area for two to eight weeks depending on the individual's natural hair growth cycle., although, some people will start to see re-growth within only a week. Almost any area of the body can be waxed including face, eyebrows, forearms, underarms, tummy, bikini line, legs and even feet and backs (and chests on men). There are many different types of waxing but the technique I use is warm wax. This method is when a thin layer of warm wax is spread on the skin, in the direction of the hair growth of the affected area and a paper strip is then pressed on top and ripped off with a quick motion against the direction of the hair growth. This removes the wax and the unwanted hair at the same time.

In order to have waxing you will need to grow the hair in the affected area for up to two weeks this will ensure all hairs are removed. Some people do find waxing quite uncomfortable, but it will leave you hair free anything from two to eight weeks! Also, unlike shaving or using hair removal creams, the hair is removed from the root instead of from the surface and hairs that have been previously waxed tend to grow back soft instead of the usual rough stubble. It's good to wax regularly as the more you wax, the thinner the hair becomes and grows more sparsely. Usually clients tend have a waxing treatment every 4 to 6 weeks.

I use the clean and easy roller system which means the wax is applied at just the right temperature and thickness for perfect results every time. It's easy to transport to people's homes and there is no chance of any spills or drips. It's also very hygienic and has faster results.

I bring with me all the clean and sanitised equipment I need as well as clean, freshly laundered towels. For some treatments I may need access to a sink for fresh, warm water.
